Xantech speaking Limerick uni’s language30 March 2009
With the LCS recently relocating to a new building, the decision was made to undertake a major technological upgrade. The new equipment was installed by AV distributor and supplier Audiviz, which is based in Kildare.
A total of 13 student stations have been installed in the Language Resources Area, each with a 19in LCD monitor from Hantarex. The networked stations are controlled by 13 Xantech CSPLCD39GW commercial touchscreen displays, and the flow of information is enabled by two Xantech RT16-10 addressable IR routers, each with its own additional CSPLCD39GW display.
Rick Seegull, director of business development at Xantech, told II: “We needed to supply a group of intuitive products with full functionality that connect seamlessly, are extremely cost-effective and made to operate 24/7 as required. The combination of our Commercial Touchscreen Displays and the IR routers will provide the University of Limerick Language and Cultural Centre students with the most current and reliable technology available. Xantech continues to be installed in the most prestigious buildings around the world, from Caesars Palace and Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, all the way to the Burj Dubai and Burj Al Arab in Dubai.”
