WORKing it all out for ISE

Equipson brand WORK will showcase a host of its latest innovations at ISE 2011, including the DCA 1 remote-controlled amplifier for small/medium-sized installations.

DCA 1 features three stereo inputs as well as one for switchable stereo/line. It has a double powered output (100W + 100W) with terminal blocks. In addition to Stereo and Parallel operating modes, users can select a different audio source for each zone (“2 zone” operating mode).

According to WORK, the simplicity of control is the main advantage of DCA 1. Its internal software enables selection between RS 485 (ASCII orders) and RS 232 (ASCII orders / DMX), making it suitable for use with almost any third-party controller.

Also under the ISE spotlight will be BlueLine, billed as the first remote-controlled, distributed and multichannel audio system that only uses CAT5 cables. The system enables the design of a multi-channel and multi-zone installation via RS485 and RS232 that only employs CAT5.

BlueLine’s feature set includes: selection of multiple sources for several zones; individual control of volume for each speaker; overall control of an installation through RS 485 and RS 232; and the ability to remotely switch off each speaker to save energy. In addition, the integrated alarm system with priority over any audio sources ensures maximum safety in the overall installation.

WORK will also highlight the Digiline signal processing and digital audio control series. The two devices in the series, Digiline 8 and MX, include a digital matrix of 8 double inputs and 8 outputs. They can control several sources independently in a same audio installation.

Looking ahead to ISE 2011, Equipson’s Nicolas Billot told IE: “This edition of ISE will be special for us. First of all, we have been working hard in designing a full range of products specifically for integration, and after two years of hard work, we consider that we will show the results of all these efforts at ISE. Secondly, our BlueLine system is a finalist at the InAVation Awards, to be celebrated at ISE. Lastly, but not least, we have plans to announce a very big surprise during [the exhibition]. I can’t tell you more right now, but [suffice to say] our company is about to face great and positive changes.”
