Vivitek launches two Full HD projectors for home cinema market

Vivitek has unveiled the H1186 and H1188 Full HD projectors for the home cinema market. The projectors include ISF calibration and VividMotion features embedded and deliver 2,000 ANSI lumens of brightness with a 50,000:1 contrast ratio. In addition to 1080p resolution, the solutions also include Texas Instruments’ DLP DarkChip3 and BrilliantColor technologies.

To ensure accurate colour and realistic reproduction, the models are also equipped with a six-segment RGBRGB colour wheel and provide MHL support to connect directly with tablets and smartphones for streaming of video and audio content.

Holger Graeff, General Manager EMEA of Vivitek Corporation, commented: “With the upcoming availability of these models specifically designed for home cinema, Vivitek moves up into higher gear in the growing entry level home cinema market. Both projectors deliver outstanding performance. For example, the integration of the VividMotion technology in the H1188 offers to the users a new level of detail and quality in this category in order to enjoy a true cinematographic experience from the sofa.”

The vertical lens shift offers greater flexibility in set up and installation and the ISF mode calibrates for both day and night. There is also a complete set of multimedia connectivity options such as two HDMI v1.4 inputs to allow users to connect their cable/satellite receiver, Blu-ray disc player or video gaming console, as well as various I/O ports. The lamp lifetime is extended up to 7,000 hours (H1186 only) in eco mode and its top-sided lamp cover also facilitates easy lamp replacement.
