Vivitek launches new education projector1 October 2014
Vivitek has announced the availability of the D755WTIR, a new projector that it says takes interactivity in the classroom to a new level. The D755WTIR, when combined with an interactive whiteboard, allows collaborative learning sessions of simultaneous writing, drawing and note-taking involving up to ten people. Additionally, the ultra-short-throw D755WTIR is said to deliver perfect operation and performance in even the smallest of classrooms.
“As the growth of technology both inside and outside the classroom continues, so has the demand for new solutions that can engage students in new ways,” said Holger Graeff, general manager, Vivitek EMEA. “The exciting thing about the D755WTIR is that it answers the demand for something new, while, because of its easy connectivity and wide compatibility, it can be seamlessly integrated with existing classroom technology. It’s an ‘everybody wins’ solution; teacher, student and AV manager – they all have something to gain with the D755WTIR.”
The new projector is the first to offer the innovative DT01 ‘laser curtain module’. This feature injects excitement into lessons as teachers and students collaborate using up to 10 simultaneous finger touchpoints on the screen. The projected image can then be manipulated in any chosen way, to create diagrams, drawing, writing, or whatever might be desired at the time. The projector also supports IR Pen use for live note-taking, highlighting and onscreen amendments.
The D755WTIR delivers a 3,300 ANSI lumen brightness level with a contrast ratio of 5,000:1. The plug-and-play set-up offers automatic or manual set up for easy integration into the existing network. Connectivity options include multiple display connectivity ports such as HDMI, VGA In, Composite, Video Out, and more. The D755WTIR is also fully compatible with Crestron, AMX and other enterprise-wide network monitoring and facilities management systems.
The D755WTIR is supplied complete with Vivitek’s popular NovoTeach Interactive Whiteboard software. An optional wall-mount bracket is available free, upon request.
