Three for 3.0 on DigitalMedia12 February 2015
The new generation DigitalMedia 3.0 includes three new additions to Crestron’s range of multimedia presentation systems. Its affordable 4K Scaling Presentation Switcher (HD-MD8X1-C) is designed for simple huddle spaces that require 8×1 4K switching and scaling, with output to the room’s display via HDMI.
For a slightly bigger room, there is the 4K Scaling Presentation Switcher with HDBaseT Output (DM-MD8X1-C), which includes all of the features of the HD-MD8X1-C, plus microphone input and a DM output, so you can run HDBaseT to the display.
If you need to use remote transmitters, or program a custom system using SIMPL Windows, the 3-Series 4K DigitalMedia Presentation System (DMPS3-4K-150-C) is most suitable.
It can cater for classrooms, small and medium conference rooms, or huddle spaces, and combines DigitalMedia technology with a built-in IP-based 3-Series Control System, 10×1 4K multimedia switcher, mic mixer, and audio DSP. Its built-in 4K scaler can convert any resolution and frame rate to any other resolution and frame rate, up to 4096 x 2160 at 60Hz.
All three are built on the new Crestron .AV Framework so that they’re ready to go, without custom programming, as soon as you connect the cables, and specify sources and displays. AV Framework also enables all three to directly communicate with Crestron Fusion enterprise management software.
It can add collaboration capability by connecting up to four Crestron Connect It (TT-100) cable caddies, and wireless BYOD presentation capability by connecting a Crestron AirMedia (AM-100) to the HDMI port.
