Tempest launches fourth gen enclosure line9 February 2017
At ISE 2017, Tempest has launched its modular G4 enclosure range to the European market. The company says that with this new range – which comprises the Blizzard, Whispr, Typhoon, Cyclone and Tacit product families – it can now provide a high quality, holistic enclosure range able to tackle any environment, from harsh outdoor environments to whisper quiet indoor spaces, providing the ultimate in projector protection, and offering reduced design, build and delivery times for customers.
In addition to its award-winning projector enclosure family, Tempest also produces moving light enclosures. The latest generation, comprising Tornado G4 and Tornado Marine G4, takes the Tornado design and adds a host of enhancements and additional sizes to accommodate any moving head available.
“The G4 range highlights why we lead the way in projector enclosure technology, and we can’t wait to show ISE attendees what we have to offer,” said Tim Burnham, Tempest’s president. “Through seven years of development, we have constructed thousands of enclosures which have been employed in all climates across the globe, and we’ve learned a huge amount in the process. Our fourth generation enclosures are the product of that learning experience; a reliable modular solution, developed to replace all our existing enclosure types and deal with every customer application. Whatever the requirement – portrait or landscape, outdoor or indoor, rental or fixed, freezing or hot temperatures, standard or custom enclosure sizes – Tempest has your needs covered with G4 enclosures.”
Featuring Goldilocks OS technology to prevent overheating and deadly condensation, the G4 enclosures are now smarter than ever, says Tempest. The latest models have been upgraded across the range, with features including variable speed AC fan control, USB diagnostics and firmware update capabilities, and optional RS485 and Ethernet connectivity, web-based remote monitoring coming soon.
