Take collaboration to the next level with Mezzanine10 February 2015
Mezzanine, the conferencing and collaboration system from Oblong, is claimed to move beyond telepresence to deliver infopresence. This brings the content and data from multiple meeting participants into a multi-surface, large-format, shared digital workspace accessible to those inside a Mezzanine conference room, connected from another Mezzanine room, or working remotely from a variety of devices including laptops, tablets and smartphones.
The gesture-enabled and spatially aware properties of Mezzanine, which has its roots in more than two decades of research at the MIT Media Lab, are claimed to provide an immersive experience that “is unmatched in the enterprise marketplace”. It is already in use at some global companies, like IBM and NTT, but ISE 2015 marks its European show debut.
“We are incredibly excited to introduce Mezzanine to the European audience. With our European headquarters in Barcelona and the brand new Oblong Experience Centre in London, it seems a natural progression to take part in ISE 2015. We have a number of exciting projects already in the pipeline across the EMEA Region and can’t wait to build on this great foundation,” said Mike Brown, Oblong’s global VP of sales.
“Mezzanine revolutionises the business meeting. It enables multiple participants to share their image, voice, devices, and data simultaneously. Meetings can become so much more productive. Collaboration is easy. Your data and devices are active participants in the meeting.
For example, you can create a real-time sales pipeline status war-room, sharing sales dashboard applications and data face-to-face and side-by-side with a globally distributed sales force.”
