Steamy stuff: VisualDMX specified for sauna centre6 July 2009
The major new facility incorporates saunas, swimming pools, restrooms and treatment rooms.
VisualDMX was chosen to meet the requirement for a system that could be programmed with many lighting effects, yet provide a simple and safe means of customer control. It is being used in conjunction with an extensive LED lighting specification that includes 2,500 pieces of TDE LED strips, along with other mood lighting such as a fibre optic system for ceiling stars. The fixtures have been divided across five Visual Productions’ Din-Rail DMX Splitters and routed back to a Duple DMX interface and touchscreen computer for programming by VisualDMX.
Overall customer control is provided by VisualTouch, the stand-alone touchscreen interface that can trigger events programmed within VisualDMX.
Spencer Thomasz, the TDE technician responsible for the installation, told II: “We chose Visual Productions because of their flexibility and, of course, their proven control system, VisualDMX. With VisualTouch we created a touchscreen user interface for very user-friendly control of all zones of the RGB LEDs supplied by us at TDE.”
