RGB distributing ClearOne View IP solutions

Paddy Baker 13 August 2010

RGB Communications has been appointed as the UK and Ireland commercial AV distributor of ClearOne View IP-based distributed audio, video and control solutions. View is the commercial derivative of NetStreams, which was acquired by ClearOne in 2009 and is now widely deployed in applications ranging from casinos to government facilities.

View IP-based and IP-controlled systems (including the VIEW MLA9101 audio gateway, pictured) are designed for commercial use, can handle virtually any number of digital or analogue sources and deliver uncompressed content, including high-definition audio and video, to a nearly unlimited number of zones. Any zones playing the same source will, it is said, be perfectly synchronised to less than 1 millisecond. Moreover, unlike conventional analogue matrix switch solutions, ClearOne’s DigiLinX system is scalable to infinite zones and virtually unlimited sources.

"ClearOne View’s mission is to be a world-class company dedicated to enhancing quality of life through products. It is for this reason that we have partnered with RGB Communications," said Andrew Loadman, sales manager of ClearOne. "RGB has rightly earned its award-winning reputation and position as the foremost distributor of audiovisual solutions to the UK and Ireland markets, with the provision of quality solutions to dealers and AV specialists. Together with ClearOne’s hugely successful history of working with RGB and their unique technical support, I believe they will undoubtedly bring a whole new dimension to View’s presence in the UK."

Caroline Britt, managing director of RGB Communications, added: "We are delighted to welcome ClearOne View to our family of products and solutions. The addition of View has enabled us to provide a comprehensive high-definition audio and video solution to deliver the true promise of audiovisual and IT convergence. By combining content and control signals in one data stream, View systems offer new levels of simplicity, reliability, and expandability, benefiting both integrators and end users with lower costs for installation, set-up and support."

Regarding future plans for ClearOne View, Britt told IE: "We intend to promote ClearOne View at our Technology Showcase events later in the year, where dealers can come along to learn more about the products and applications, as well as get hands-on training [more info via link below]. Next year, we will take ClearOne View and our entire portfolio of products on the road so customers can experience a demo first hand and talk to our knowledgeable staff and manufacturers.”
