Record attendance for InfoComm China17 April 2012
Further evidence of the robust health of the worldwide AV market has come in the form of InfoComm China. The show took place last week and, by the close of day two, attendance was 14,868, representing a 39% increase over the 2011 event. Final attendance at the close of the 3-day exhibition is expected to breach 16,000, a record turnout in the history of the show.
The 30 sessions of the InfoComm China Summit education program also attracted a record attendance of 1,550 delegates, more than double that of last year.
Exhibitors responded by signing up for larger booths for the 2013 event in order to accommodate the crowds that thronged the 22,000 sq metres (237,000 sq ft) of Halls 1 to 4 this year. The organisers have already announced that the 2013 show will expand to Halls 5 and 6 next year to cater to the additional demand for space, not just from existing exhibitors but many others that have visited the show and indicated their intent to join next year’s event.
InfoComm China 2013 will take place from 10-12 April at the China National Convention Centre in Beijing.
