Philips Dynalite announces CEDIA Home Technology Event plans30 April 2010
The company plans to showcase a wide range of control system elements as well as software for advanced lighting control and integration with third-party control systems. Philips Dynalite will also operate an exhibition-floor demonstration room, where an integrated lighting control system will provide visitors with technical insight and hands-on experience.
Comprising a mock boardroom equipped with a remote-controlled integrated lighting and AV control system and additional curtain/blind control, the demo facility will incorporate Philips Dynalite controllers, serial port interfaces and user control interfaces, along with third-party control systems. All components will be linked via Philips Dynalite’s peer-to-peer communications serial bus network, DyNet.
Additionally, Philips Dynalite will showcase control system elements, including its multi-purpose controller range and the 100BT Ethernet gateway interface for Ethernet connectivity between DyNet, Philips Dynalite control systems and third-party technologies. The slimline Revolution Series 2 user control panels, the Revolution colour touch screens (now with new glass facia options), the DLight III MapView site management software, and DLight II programming software will also be on display.
Paul Wilmshurst, Philips Dynalite business development director for Europe, commented: "There is a real demand for integrated lighting control systems that can incorporate third-party control elements, such as audiovisual, curtains, blinds and temperature control systems. From a commercial building perspective, integration with systems incorporating communications backbones, such as building management systems, provides hotels, offices and residential complexes with installation and control flexibility. Philips Dynalite is one of the few lighting control and automation providers that can offer this level of integration."
The CEDIA Home Technology Event 2010 will take place from 14-17 June (training) and 15-17 June (exhibition).
