Parisian nights for BrightSign

The company’s digital sign controllers have been fitted in celebrated Paris venue the VIP Room Theater. The new installation features coffee tables with 32in screens set horizontally into the table top. Video clips and playlists are updated remotely over the internet using the BrightSign Network Manager, while users can send messages in real-time to each table using SMS.

The six video table installation was designed by French digital agency L’île des Médias on the basis of a commission by a major champagne company which sought to reinforce its exclusive image by displaying advertising clips, event videos and other content.

L’île des Médias selected BrightSign because it offered a straightforward, all-in-one solution. In addition, the controllers are compact and could be installed directly within the tables without incurring worries about ventilation or temperature.

Video content is updated approximately once a month over the internet and delivered in high-definition 1080i format. Text messages are delivered to the table screens via an internet gateway and displayed in an RSS feed zone defined by the BrightSign’s configuration. BrightSign Network Manager simplifies the task of automated updates, while L’île des Médias has created a special application to allow the SMS text messages to be displayed on the BrightSign units.

"The BrightSign players are easy to install and we really liked BrightSign Network Manager for remote updates through the internet," said L’île des Médias managing director Jérôme Hérard. "It is a user-friendly application that offers a bunch of options to manage the content remotely and enhance the efficiency of the system."
