Panasonic launches outdoor LED digital signage display28 April 2014
The high brightness Panasonic TH-47LFX60 is aimed at Quick Service Restaurants and a variety of leisure and retail settings, which require digital signage to be durable through varying weather conditions.
The Panasonic display features direct-LED backlight at 2,000 cd/m2, ensuring easy reading even in direct sunlight; while the exceptionally wide viewing angle makes the display even more visually powerful.
Another feature of the system is an air-cooling system that automatically suppresses any temperature rises in the LED panel caused by direct sunlight exposure. This prevents blackouts and ensures digital signage content is uninterrupted.
The display is also compatible with Panasonic Digital Link technology that can be used to transmit video, audio and control signals over a distance of up to 100m. All of this can be delivered through a single LAN cable.
The IP55 ingress protection protects from dust and water, while the Panasonic TH-47LFX60 is compatible with the company’s cloud-based early warning software that monitors the status of displays and informs AV managers when an abnormality is detected or predicted.
