Optoma projectors use VueMagic app for mobile presentation

Businesspeople, lecturers and teachers now have more freedom to present from Optoma X501, W501 and EH501 ProScene projectors thanks to the Pixelworks VueMagic app.

The three professional installation projectors (4,500 or 5,000 lumens) are now compatible with the app. This smart app is designed for mobile presenting from a smartphone or tablet and is free to download for both Android and iOS devices.

Optoma’s head of product marketing, Justin Halls, said: “VueMagic gives presenters the freedom to move around the room, share ideas and connect with an audience like never before. This creates a more collaborative experience for everyone. This smart app also enables any mobile device’s touch screen to browse, flick between slides and pinch-to-zoom. What’s more, no upgrade is required to the projector – so customers who already have these projectors can use the app as well as new customers.”

Designed for large venues, lecture theatres, auditoriums and conference rooms, Optoma’s compatible projectors are ideal for mobile presenting. The ProScene X501, W501 and EH501 boast a high brightness of 4,500-5,000 lumens, excellent connectivity, optional wireless capability and amazing colours. The wireless features of these projectors are enabled when used in conjunction with the Optoma WU5205 Mini Wifi dongle (sold separately).

The VueMagic app can be used in conjunction with a mobile device’s camera to stream live images directly to a projector, instantly turning it into a portable visualiser. This is ideal for sharing ideas with larger groups.

VueMagic can also be used to annotate directly onto a presentation in multiple colours, either freehand or using the tools provided.
