Designed to deliver high quality music and movie reproduction in mid-sized living rooms, the mid-range TX-NR709 network home cinema receiver is new from Onkyo.

The feature set of the THX Select2 Plus-certified receiver includes: compatibility with Spotify Premium,, vTuner and Napster music services; eight HDMI inputs for handling HD sources, and dual HDMI outputs enabling simultaneous linking of two separate displays; HDMI implementation supporting Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio and 3D video; a front-panel USB port supporting direct digital connection of iPod/iPhone and USB mass storage devices; an extensive range of analogue and digital inputs, including component video and 7.1 analogue multi-channel inputs; a proprietary Universal Port for connection of Onkyo-branded peripheral devices; 32-bit audio processing, complemented by Audyssey Dynamic EQ and Audyssey Dynamic Volume technologies; a dedicated phono input for turntables; and 7.2 multi-channel pre-amp outputs that enable the connection of a dedicated power amp.

The new receiver also incorporates an elegant graphical on-screen display and GUI to simplify the process of browsing content and adjusting settings ‘on the fly’ while watching or listening to music or movies.
