test 11 June 2009

The OmniMount Power40 is described as a state-of-the-art, remote controlled, motorised mount for a LCD or plasma screen that allows users to tilt, pan and swivel the panel from their sofa, bed or wherever they happen to be.With the touch of one button the Power40 ñ part of OmniMount’s MotionPicture series – delivers viewing flexibility from anywhere in the room. It is powered by a motor that emits only 40dB motor, making it unobtrusive in operation.

The Power40 uses a cantilever mount that is designed to fit most flat panels of screen sizes from 23in to 40in and weighing up to 30kg. It sits approximately 65mm from the wall when in the fixed position, tilts from 0 to 5 degrees to reduce glare, and pans from 0 to 20 degrees left and right to accommodate

almost any viewing position.

To ensure safety, the Power40 features programmable wall detection, as well as

safety mechanisms that stop motion when movement is obstructed. Installers can expect open architecture for easy access to in-wall wiring, an installation template and level, as well as OmniMount’s exclusive Lift n’ Lock design, says the manufacturer.
