NuVo accepting orders for new Music Port Server

test 11 February 2010

The new product aggregates, organises, stores and distributes digital audio content, as well as offering the capability to stream audio from online stores into a home’s multi-room system. Features include: compatibility with MP3, M4A, WMA and WAV formats; auto-synchronisation with audio content from selected PCs in the home and collation into one comprehensive library; and an internal 320GB hard drive.

The Music Port Server (MPS4) can also enable the streaming of music directly into a home audio’s system from over 100,000 internet radio stations. It can be browsed and accessed through NuVo’s in-wall and wireless Control Pads, and the recently launched Colour Touch Pad, or by using a home PC on the network via RS-232.

Chief technical officer Rick Kukulies commented: “The Music Port Server is a significant new addition to the NuVo Technologies’ whole-home audio eco-system. In an age when many homeowners and their families are seeking to access digital content from a variety of disparate sources, this exciting product provides a streamlined approach to music, bringing choice, convenience and better control within everybody’s reach.”

Looking back on ISE, George Gavutis, NuVo sales manager for EMEA regions, told IE Residential: “The Music Port Server (MPS4) and Colour Touch Panel (CTP36) were extremely well received by our EMEA customer base at ISE 2010. These products provide our European customers with the competitive edge they have been asking for to ensure that they can incorporate NuVo solutions into an even larger percentage of their installations.”
