Niko teams with NECEIC to train electricians

NICEIC and Belgian switch and control system manufacturer Niko have joined forces to help electrical contractors learn how to install and program electrical control and automation systems.

Niko has been providing control solutions for over ten years; its Nikobus Home Automation system is widely recognised for its simplicity of installation, reliability, programming and user-friendliness. In its home market of Belgium, Niko is the market leading supplier for electricians and their wholesale stockists. Now, with a wholly owned subsidiary in the UK, the company is delivering the same high level of products, training and support to installers and electrical contractors.

Commenting on the new partnership, Stephen Calder (pictured right), sales director of Niko UK said: "I am thrilled to be working with such a professional organisation as NICEIC.  I know that we can rely on their expertise to ensure that electrical contractors are provided with the same high standard of training and support that we provide directly from Niko in the UK. I am sure that together we will be able to increase the availability and awareness of control solutions to electrical contractors throughout the UK."

Tony Cable (left), NICEIC’s senior marketing & events engineer, said: "I have visited the Niko headquarters in Belgium to see for myself the company’s high standards and expertise in the field of control systems. I am looking forward to working with Niko to enable electricians to increase their skill sets and establish a wider market for control solutions, both in home and commercial applaications."

Dany Sturtewagen, head of communications at Niko nv, observed:  "I have been very impressed by the NICEIC organisation and I am delighted that Niko UK is working with them to help electrical contractors in the UK build their knowledge of lighting and control systems and to help grow the market."

The collaboration of Niko with NICEIC began when Niko joined the NICEIC Tech Talks Road Shows, which started on 28 September and run until 6 April 2011. NICEIC is finalising details of its Total Control Programming course which will feature Niko solutions and commence in the final quarter of 2010.
