New products from SMS at ISE26 January 2012
SMS is showing a range of new products at ISE, including a mobile projector solution, a ceiling bracket for heavy projectors and a new product family for the latest screens.
“Customers for digital signage have previously been forced to use more or less specially designed solutions,” said Dan Berglund, Managing Director of SMS. “We can now provide attractive standard solutions for digital communication in shopping malls, railway stations and other indoor settings. The two designs of the Media Cabinet allow us to offer ready-to-use enclosures for the most popular screen sizes 40, 46 and 55 inches.”
SMS specialises in cabinets for extreme outdoor usage, and is now broadening the range. One new design, the SMS Media Cabinet Indoor Wall, can be mounted on walls, pillars and similar locations, and is equipped with unbreakable Hammerglass, together with other features that protect from damage.
Its sister product, the SMS Media Cabinet Indoor Totem, is a floorstanding design, securely bolted down. Both offer highly flexible mounting, and the Totem can be mounted back-to-back in pairs.
SMS is also giving a first glimpse of a new product at ISE – a manually adjustable wheeled bracket for interactive boards and short throw projectors. The company says that the product is the first to be based on a completely new platform, and is intended for customers who place equal importance on stability, mobility and flexibility. A drawing handle and new storage possibilities characterise the product.
For the ever-larger and heavier projectors, SMS is presenting a newcomer – a ceiling bracket that satisfies particularly stringent demands for mounting, adjustment and design.
Other new products to look out for at ISE 2012 include Crestron’s DigitalMedia and HD solutions, Tannoy’s VLS series and Mitsubishi’s new 7000 series of large-venue projectors.
