NEC chooses Dynamax POVng

Dynamax’s on-premise digital signage application POVng has been chosen again by the National Exhibition Centre (NEC) near Birmingham, England for its new bus shelter displays located across the 610 acres campus. The system will deliver real-time information and adverts to visitors.

“Dynamax’s open approach to linking technologies together, such as XML and Flash, means we now have the flexibility to update the bus times, locations and visitor information simultaneously,” said David Hart, Project Manager at the NEC, “ resulting in an enhanced experience for our customers.”

The new install is intended to enhance the visitor way-finding by showing shuttle bus timetables location, date and time and advertising, disseminated and updated simultaneously using Dynamax’s enterprise solution. The displays are to be found at key locations throughout the estate, giving way to repeated and longer exposures to the displayed messages (to the benefit of advertisers) and lower perceived wait time for the visitors catching the various buses across the site.

”’We are delighted to have been part of this project,” said Howard Smith, Dynamax director . “Our POVng content distribution and scheduling software integrated perfectly with the NEC’s existing hardware, monitoring and creative requirements, making a key contribution to this new visitor information and way-finding system.’’
