Morban expands partnerships after Grand Designs success

Residential custom installer Morban has announced that it will be actively expanding its training, support and the development of partnerships with qualified electricians through its Authorised Morban Installer programme.

“As the direct result of the fantastic business interest we received at the Grand Designs show last week, we will be doubling the number of training opportunities that we will run throughout the rest of the year,” said David Rose (pictured), marketing and design director. “Interest from visitors to the show from every part of the country has given us the impetus to run courses every other month – which means our next one will be in July”.

Morban’s ‘Intelligent Living’ smart home residential solutions are based on the integration of Philips Dynalite lighting control systems, HomeNet multi-media cabling, Opus Technologies’ multi-room entertainment systems, CCTV, and security systems such as Comfort, together with various other specialist technologies. Morban are Philips Dynalite Dimension dealers and authorised Opus and HomeNet installers.

Apart from the development of the installation side of the business, Morban has developed relationships with other creative businesses including bespoke joiners, artists and craftspeople all of whom are able to collaborate with the company on the increasingly creative nature of their residential solutions.

“Our three day induction course provides hands on technical skills development alongside invaluable sales, marketing and customer relationship management training,” concluded Rose. “The aim is to recruit and develop the skills of smart electricians who want to get into this highly lucrative business, but still focus on the business of installing – rather than learning how to market, design, sell and commission the systems.”
