MidwichHome, the home technology division of UK distribution group Midwich, has announced that it is now offering digital connectivity solutions from Atlona Technologies. MidwichHome will be distributing Atlona’s residential-focused product family, Atlona Professional (system integrator), and Atlona Home (consumer electronics).

Atlona’s comprehensive portfolio of products includes cables, adapters/connectors, accessories, switchers, distribution amplifiers/splitters, extenders, converters/scalers, wireless products, signal generators and displays – all designed to meet a wide range of requirements, from entry level to high-end installation.

“We are very excited to be working with Atlona to market and distribute the residential family of products,” said Lee Hooker, general sales manager for MidwichHome. “Atlona’s line-up has developed in recent years to cover almost every digital connectivity solution that is required, and at the same time they are continuously designing and developing innovative leading-edge technology products. By adding Atlona to our already extensive range of AV connectivity-based solutions, we will further strengthen our market position. The range will be further backed by our Technical Solutions arm, True Colours, supporting dealers with product information, demonstrations and training.”

Atlona’s Professional line is described as a one-stop shop for installers of home theatre and light commercial AV systems, with a full family of products that offers solutions for any conceivable installation issue, while ensuring the best possible solution for end-users.

The Atlona Home line is specifically designed for consumers and retail purchasers, and offers a full range of simple, easy-to-use and install devices, including the new AT-AiR3 1080p wireless USB to HDMI converter. In addition, Atlona’s CE line creates simple solutions for bringing computer gaming and movie libraries to HDTV, incorporating older Apple Mac computers and laptops with new Mac monitors, and enhancing the home theatre experience.

“With their experienced staff, focused channel coverage and exceptional customer service, we are looking forward to working with MidwichHome,” said Jeff Meyer of AV Consulting International, European representative for Atlona. “Atlona has been growing rapidly in the UK and throughout Europe. Working with MidwichHome and the Midwich group now means we can build on this momentum, expose the Atlona brand to a focused channel and take our business to the next level.”
