Mic mixer company Dan Dugan to make ISE debut2 January 2013
In its inaugural appearance at ISE, California-based pro audio manufacturer Dan Dugan Sound Design will draw visitors’ attention to the Dugan Speech System, which automatically manages any number of live mics in unscripted talking situations.
The system will be demonstrated on the Dugan MY-16 mixing controller card for Yamaha consoles. This card offers three modes of operation: 16 channels of Dugan Speech System at 44.1 or 48kHz sample rate; eight channels of automixing at 88.1 or 96kHz sample rate; or eight channels of automixing plus eight channels of general-purpose ADAT I/O. For enhanced features, the card may be remote controlled by the included Dugan Control Panel for Java or the Dugan Control Panel for iPad.
Also part of the current Dan Dugan Sound Design range is the new Model E-3 Automatic Mixing Controller with AES digital I/O. Through its interface with Dugan’s Model CP-2 control panel, the Model E-3 provides functions including the Dugan Speech System, the Dugan Music System, Dugan Gain Limiting and three automixing groups in a small, easily installed enclosure. The E-3 can be also be operated via the Dugan Control Panel for Java, an Apple iPad app, or the mute and bypass buttons on the E-3’s front panel (eight channels).
In addition, the company will highlight the Model D-2 Automatic Mixing Controller – which provides digital control for analogue I/O along with the Dugan Speech System, Dugan Music System, Dugan Gain Limiting and three automixing groups – and the Model E-1A Automatic Mixing Controller, enabling 16-channel operation when using ADAT digital I/O, three input groups, input and output level meters, and more.Stand: 4-U19 www.dandugan.com
