Media Powerhouse acquires Clockworxx7 October 2010
AV specialist Media Powerhouse, which was established in 2008 by industry veterans Michael Breen and Charles Beddow, has announced that it has acquired AV and broadcast equipment company Clockworxx Limited. Media Powerhouse will now have offices in London’s Soho with an additional technical warehouse in Surrey Wharf, London.
“I would like to take this opportunity to welcome the team from Clockworxx, who are regarded as leaders in their field,” said Michael Breen (pictured), chief executive officer of Media Powerhouse. “We feel privileged that they have decided to join the Media Powerhouse family. Together we can provide clients with a comprehensive service from staging and installation to set hire that we believe is second to none.”
Clockworxx was created in 2009 following the merger of Clockwork Capital’s Technical Services division and Boxx, the technical staging expert. Clockworxx delivers AV design and build services along with facility installations for broadcast. The company also provides project-based rentals for the live events industry. Clockworxx, led by Albert Seaward, will join the Media Powerhouse group of companies, while the trading title of Boxx is to be re-established under the ongoing leadership of live events expert Terry Barnes.
“Media Powerhouse is one of the fastest growing AV companies in the UK and we are delighted to have the opportunity to join the team,” said Albert Seaward. “The combination of Clockworxx’ broadcast design and build experience and the AV expertise of Media Powerhouse will enable us to offer our clients an unparalleled service for permanent and temporary projects of all types. Media Powerhouse’s focus on meeting and exceeding customer expectations is a perfect fit for us. We want clients to vote with their feet by rebooking our services and it is this focus on customer satisfaction that gives us the edge over the competition.”
