The McStrand Organisation – a Denmark-based McDonald’s franchise owner – has replaced a conventional 90in retractable white projection screen in its meeting and training room with a dnp Supernova Core. The company, which operates seven restaurants, had found that its original choice did not perform well under conditions of high ambient light.

When approached by McStrand, Danish AV specialist and dnp partner CSN Teknik, had already installed a dnp Supernova Blade Screen at the McDonald’s Denmark HQ. Thanks to its experience with CSN Teknik’s installation and after-sales service, McDonald’s was able to strongly recommend the supplier to McStrand.

“McStrand needed a screen they could use in a brightly lit room,” recalled Christian Søgren Nielsen of CSN Teknik. “It also had to offer connectivity with other devices (PC/Mac, iPhones and iPads) and of course, be easily operable.” Representatives from McStrand were impressed by the dnp Supernova Core that CSN Teknik recommended, and the installation – which saw it working in tandem with a Panasonic WUXGA projector – was quickly up and running despite a very tight timetable.

According to Nielsen, CSN Teknik’s installation meets all McStrand’s requirements. “The dnp screen gives high image quality in all kinds of light, it’s easy to connect and operate, and our solution even has invisible cable management,” he said.

McStrand is also delighted with its new system, which enables meetings and training sessions to be held without dimming the lights. “It is super good!” said the customer.
