Matrix supports Scottish schools2 February 2011
Schools throughout East Lothian Council in Scotland have nearly 800 projectors covered under a service and maintenance agreement with UK integrator Matrix Display Systems, who specialise in the supply of audiovisual equipment to the education sector. The contract covers six secondary schools and 35 primary schools in East Lothian.
East Lothian Council provides a wide range of educational opportunities for people of every age. One of the Council’s objectives is to integrate AV technology into education and improve the teaching and learning environment. Matrix says that its experience within education means that the company is able to identify the issues that education institutions experience with their audio visual equipment and can tailor its service and maintenance packages accordingly.
Teachers rely heavily on projectors being operational to deliver their lessons. “When they don’t work, it’s important that we can have faults seen to quickly,” said Shirley Lawson, education ICT officer at East Lothian Council. “Matrix Display Systems have been exceptional with their response times for attending to our school projector problems. They always provide the appropriate goods at competitive prices. Matrix Display Systems has gone beyond the service required and carried out duties to extend the life of the projectors, such as cleaning the filter when replacing a lamp.”
“Our account manager always responds quickly by phone or email,” she continued, “and I can get the required information quickly. He is unflappable and efficient to the extreme. Clear and concise call reports and council stock reports are produced and delivered monthly. I would highly recommend Matrix for AV support and have found their standard of work and customer service to be of the highest quality.”
