Unilumin: LV, Gucci go UHD to engage customers11 February 2015
Both Gucci and Louis Vuitton have installed UHD LED displays from Unilumin to engage their customers. Fondation Louis Vuitton in France installed a videowall, while Gucci Fuzhou in China has installed a Unilumin 2.5mm LED videowall, and has also used Unilumin videowalls elsewhere to create immersive shopping experiences.
“The customer calls for a seamless videowall, because they don’t like a videowall with bezel lines which distracts people’s attention, so this is the first reason why LV chose us. After they see the Unilumin UHD LED videowall in action, they are really stunned by its ultimate visual impact, so finally they decide to have it,” said Vincent Ma, VP and GM of Unilumin.
“The Unilumin UHD LED videowall features 281 trillion colours, adding to our industry-leading video processing technology, it reproduces the natural colour and displays fine details of any element on it.” Colour and brightness uniformity was also important to LV, as most of its content is white-based.
“The market is growing very fast in the retail segment and nearly 60% of Unilumin UHD LED displays were applied to the retail market last year,” he added.
