London 2012 Olympics on the agenda for ISCE Institute Day4 October 2012
The Institute of Sound and Communications Engineers will host its Institute Day on 25 October 2012 at the Holiday Inn, Milton Keynes, with a key presentation from Roland Hemming (pictured).
Hemming MlnstSCE has worked in pro audio for 25 years and has become a respected name within the industry, having worked within programme management in major projects such as the Millennium Dome and the London 2012 Olympics.
The day will begin at 10:30am with the Warren-Barnett memorial lecture: The largest projects – Staying sane to a deadline. This will be presented by Hemmings and will discuss how projects such as the London 2012 Olympics are tackled. Encompassed in the lecture will be the crucial elements that are key to the project’s success, the lessons learned from them, and whether such projects are instrumental in bringing change to the audio industry. Also set for discussion will be: And afterwards, how do make friends again with everybody you upset?
The Annual General Meeting 2012 will follow the lecture at 11:30am, with everyone reconvening after the 12:30pm 3-course lunch for Hot topic discussion at 2:00-3:00pm.
