Loewe unveils Home Cinema Set

The new Home Cinema Set from Loewe will play 3D Blu-ray discs, DVD and CDs, as well as docking users’ iDevices and offering an integrated music recognition service powered by Gracenote.

Available from this month in aluminium silver and black (interchangeable top-mounted inlays mean there is the option of 250 colour finishes), the Home Cinema Set consists of the Loewe MediaVision 3D one-box system, Loewe Satellite Speakers, the Loewe Subwoofer Compact and the Loewe Assist Multi-Control remote handset.

Features of the Loewe MediaVision 3D system include: the ability to enjoy films in 3D or songs from an iPod; play back numerous HD audio formats, among them Dolby True HD, DTS-HD MA; rip and archive songs; and two HDMI inputs and one output. (This one-box solution can also be purchased on its own, without the Satellite Speakers and Subwoofer Compact.)

The Satellite Speakers are milled from a single aluminium block, and it is possible to have the insets on the top of both units match those on the MediaVision 3D. The Subwoofer Compact, meanwhile, offers 180W of amplification despite dimensions of just 24cm cubed.

Other features of the new launch include signal recognition activation, which mean that the subwoofer and integrated amplifier switch on as soon as an audio signal is recognised at the ports.
