LG appoints head of new Business Solutions division

Former Sony and NEC staff member Barrie Guy (pictured) will drive LG’s expansion into the B2B market. In his new role as general manager of LG Electronics’ new Business Solutions Division, Guy – who has more than 10 years’ experience in high-end electronics – will focus on nurturing existing and new relationships with UK-based B2B and corporate resellers.

At the top of Guy’s immediate agenda will be the rollout of LG’s first new Business Solutions Partner Portal and Programme following a formal launch at London’s Saatchi Gallery on 3 December. The programme sees LG working to partner with top IT and specialist retailers in order to drive growth in target markets such as AV, education, government/public sector and SMEs.

“The time is right. The market is mature and ready for LG to increase its presence in the B2B and corporate sectors,” said Guy. “LG has thought long and hard about what it is going to deliver to the UK market. We will now implement our carefully developed Business Solutions Partner Programme, which will enable LG to provide its leading solutions to business customers via an expanding number of channel partners. As LG expands in the B2B market our partners will benefit, grow and prosper with us.”
