Legrand’s Mini Arteor touch screen has massive appeal

Legrand has revamped its 1.2-inch LCD Arteor touch screen to offer additional functionality with simple-to-operate control of up to four functions.

Complementing the wide variety of controls, touch screens, sockets and switches in the Arteor range, the 1.2-inch touch screen is compatible with 17 Arteor and six Synergy surround plate finishes for seamless co-ordination with any interior scheme and wiring accessories specification.

The previous version of the 1.2-inch Arteor touch screen provided control of just one function while the enhanced unit offers control of multiple functions, including lighting, temperature, sound and energy management, with up to four scenarios available using customisable icons.

“We believe that the improvements we’ve made to the 1.2” Arteor Mini touch screen offer a completely new concept for the building automation market and nothing else offers such an advanced level of functionality within this price range,”  says Richard Hayward, lead marketing manager with Legrand’s wiring devices business. “These units have been designed to complement our larger Arteor touch screens, just as the iPad Mini complements the full-sized iPad, and specifiers can choose to use them as the primary control interface or as localised controllers in discreet areas of the installation such as the bedroom or the kitchen.”

Legrand anticipates strong demand for the new touch screen from the hotel sector, where they will provide ideal smart controllers for guest bedrooms and function rooms. The design flexibility also makes them perfect for the residential sector, with modules available in magnesium or white and with a choice of 23 surround plate finishes.

“Increasingly we are finding that developers, interior designers and intelligent homes specifiers are looking for style, functionality and ease of operation in a single user interface, and that’s just what the Arteor 1.2-inch touch screen offers,” says Hayward.  “With four functions on a single screen it makes control simple and the choice of finishes, along with the unit’s bijou size and ‘time out’ screen function means that it provides a discreet addition to any environment that blends into its surroundings.”
