Lawo rises to Phoenix TV challenge24 July 2014
Hong Kong-based Phoenix TV, which covers news, reports and entertainment programmes for more than 100 million Chinese-speaking people worldwide, has been supplied with Lawo consoles for its brand-new Beijing building.
The state-owned but privately run Chinese TV network, which is popular with the middle class and management class, serves one channel with recorded shows and talk rounds, in addition to an information channel that provides news and reports on culture and religious issues.
Among the facilities in the new building is a 600sqm studio with a control room, in which a Lawo mc²56 console has been deployed. A further two sapphire mixing consoles have been installed for the Phoenix TV news channel.
