Kaleidescape presents affordable Cinema One27 January 2011
On the company’s stand at ISE, Kaleidescape is presenting its Cinema One ‘out-of-the-box’ DVD movie server, which is priced at a point designed to bring the Kaleidescape experience to a broader set of customers, according to the company. Based on, but replacing, the Kaleidescape Mini System, it is described as integrating a complete multi-zone Kaleidescape system into a single component that is quiet in operation, elegant in design and capable of simple plug-and-play installation.
Features include automatic switching to a simplified user interface when the Child Remote is used; parental control over children’s access to content; two independent music zones; storage capacity for 225 DVDs or 2,500 CDs; and ease of expansion by connecting another Cinema One or a Kaleidescape player to the home network.
Movies and music can be sorted by title, actor, artist, director, genre, year of release, or run time. The Kaleidescape Movie and Music Guide Service provides information which automatically organises and cross-references a user’s library, while high resolution cover art on the onscreen display makes it easy to choose a movie or album.
"Our dealers and customers have been asking for a simple-to-install Kaleidescape System,” said Michael Malcolm, founder, chairman and CEO of Kaleidescape. “The Cinema One makes it possible for many more customers to enjoy the richness of the Kaleidescape experience.”
