JBL introduces dual 10in install subwoofer

JBL Professional by Harman has added the JBL Control SB2210 dual 10in compact subwoofer to its line of sound reinforcement solutions aimed at the installation market.

“The JBL Control SB2210 is an update of our popular Control SB-210, offering a range of improvements all within the same compact dual 10in cabinet,” said Rick Kamlet, senior manager, Commercial Loudspeakers, Harman Professional Solutions.

The Control SB2210 combines high output and compact size with a range of performance upgrades for powerful low frequency reinforcement. The subwoofer complements the Control 23-1, 25-1 and 28-1 from the recently updated Control Contractor Surface-Mount Loudspeaker series.

Power capacity for the JBL Control SB2210 has been increased to 500W, and it features a flatter frequency response with an improved bass extension to 38Hz. The 10in drivers include woven fibreglass cones and the highly damped butyl rubber surround and linear suspension spider provide clean sound quality with low distortion.

Installation options include floor placement, wall or ceiling attachment via an optional U-bracket, or suspension via 13 M6 insert points. The cabinet is available in black or white and is paintable.

Kamlet concluded: “With higher power handling, flatter frequency response, extended bass response and a weather resistant cabinet, the Control SB2210 is without doubt one of the most versatile compact subwoofers for adding solid bass impact in installed sound applications.”
