ISE 2009 to feature new DOOH conference

test 7 July 2008

Avitour began trialling BrightSign with a view to promoting its services and highlighting its partners’ tours and other offers in an eye-catching way at locations throughout Belgium. Working with Roku and software developer/system integrator Studio Promo, Avitour initially installed a network of 10 HD2000s. The trial system needed to accommodate three assigned networking groups based on language that enable Avitour to target their content updates accordingly. Remote units check the server once a day to look for content changes, while standard remote content updates generally occur once every week.

On the basis of a successful trial, Avitour has now purchased 100 BrightSign devices, all of which are due to be deployed on the company’s network by the end of the year.

Pierre Gillet, vice-president of European sales for Roku, told II: “Avitour selected BrightSign because of its very high performance and exceptional ease of use. We believe these characteristics set Roku apart in the digital signage market and put us in a position to grow rapidly as the use of digital signage expands in the European region.”
