InstallFutures: Keynote speaker announced31 July 2015
The inaugural InstallFutures, sponsored by Biamp, will begin with an opening keynote from Colin Messenger, senior analyst at Futuresource Consulting, entitled The Shape of Things to Come: Emerging Technologies and Their Likely Impact on Install Markets.
Never before has the AV industry offered end users so much choice and functionality with different technologies competing head on for AV and IT budgets. While choice ultimately drives competition and innovation, it also causes confusion and uncertainty, for vendors, channel and end user alike. This session will draw from a range of Futuresource research services, providing context to the major technology and market trends driving change in the AV industry.
Colin has been with Futuresource Consulting for over 20 years, he has been involved with the interactive and schools markets on a day-to-day basis for over 12 years and runs the worldwide interactivity displays research programmes. Much of Colin’s work has involved providing strategic input for companies planning their future direction within the education sector, drawing on his in-depth understanding of the industry. Prior to Futuresource he held senior positions at Orange for 10 years, and as general manager of Euronet Cellular Communications launched the first UK distribution company to offer a consumer mobile phone package to dealers.
“I’m really looking forward to the event,” he said. “I moderated a panel on education at the InstallMarket event last year and was impressed with the high levels of interest and debate from the delegates, as soon as I was approached to participate in this new event I did not hesitate to get involved.”
Colin joins a host of other confirmed speakers, including Studer CTO Peter Glaettli, Stampede president and COO, Kevin Kelly, Matthew Thompson, head of AV at The Royal College of Surgeons, and Roland Dreesden, managing director at Reflex AV.
