Samsung outlines Internet of Things roadmap

Samsung unveiled the timetable for making its products IoT-enabled as well as calling for greater openness and collaboration. BK Yoon, president and CEO of Samsung Electronics, commented: “The Internet of Things has the potential to transform our society, economy and how we live our lives.”

Pixel Projects provided immersive retail solutions for the new Google shop within Currys PC World on Tottenham Court Road. The shop will host regular classes and events to include tutorials on using Google devices and teaching the understanding of how different devices work together to enable a more connected lifestyle.

Amadeus designs new speakers for major Paris music complex project

The Philharmonie de Paris, designed to host international symphony orchestras, features Amadeus speakers throughout its various musical venue spaces; from the Large Rehearsal Space with public seating, to Practice Rooms, to the Grande Auditorium and the Music Exhibition and Conference Rooms, plus the two on-site recording studios.

Jerry Bruckheimer partners with Barco to develop projects for Barco Escape

Barco and Jerry Bruckheimer Films announced a partnership, which will see Bruckheimer utilise the Barco Escape format and join the Barco Escape advisory board.

Arup, JBL and BSS Audio provide technologies for VR facility

The world’s first full-scale Big Data exploration facility opened at Virginia Tech on 30 January, 2015. Known as the Cube, this four-storey, $15 million theatre and high-tech laboratory has acoustics, AV and 3D audio systems designed by Arup and audio technologies from JBL Professional and BSS Audio.

InstallAwards 2015 winners

The report of the winners from the InstallAwards 2015, with the Grand Prix Award won by Harman Professional and the lifetime Achievement Award, presented by Mike Blackman, going to Greg Jeffreys of Paradigm AV.
