InfoComm 2015: Casio adds entry-level projector to LampFree range19 June 2015
Casio is launching its new EcoLite XJ-V1 projector and showcasing its full portfolio of LampFree projectors at InfoComm.
The XJ-V1 utilises a close range 1.1x manual zoom lens and is aimed at business and education environments as a cost effective solution.
“We are extremely excited to attend InfoComm 2015 to celebrate our sixth year of LampFree by showcasing our new EcoLite XJ-V1,” said Joe Gillio, senior director strategic planning and marketing, of Casio’s Business Projector Division. “As a pioneer in the digital projection space, it is essential to provide the business, education, and hospitality industries with features that are truly beneficial, including low maintenance and lower total cost of ownership, while still remaining eco-friendly.”
The EcoLite XJ-V1 is designed to be a reliable and low total cost of operation solution in demanding environments such as education, business and government applications. Projectors powered by Casio’s Laser and LED Hybrid Light Source and DLP Projection Technology can consume half the power per unit than traditional lamp-based projectors and eliminate the need to replace expensive and hazardous mercury lamps, which makes Casio’s projectors more cost effective and safer for the environment.
The LampFree light source combines a laser, fluorescent element and LEDs to generate high brightness and an estimated 20,000-hour lifespan with minimal brightness degradation and continuous operation. Power consumption with the brightest setting is only 180W and eco modes aim to reduce power consumption by up to 50%.
The EcoLite XJ-V1 features a throw ratio of 1.54-1.7: 1, produces 2,700 lumens of brightness, and has XGA (1024 x 768) resolution that is suitable for displaying content from video and computer sources. The EcoLite features inputs for RGB and HDMI and includes a variable audio output for external audio.
