Industry moves: key appointments and partnerships for February

We reveal some of the key appointments and new partnership deals across the AV industry from the start of 2016.

Former Google exec joins Pexip

Amy Kim (pictured) has joined Pexip as president for its Americas business. Based out of New York she will be responsible for all of the company’s business in the Americas.

Kim joins from Google; she was one of the first people to be hired into the Google for Work (previously Google Enterprise) organisation and was fundamental in developing the first marquee customers in the Large customer base. During her eight years at the company, she has held a variety of leadership positions including managing the search business as well as the SaaS business around apps and cloud platform. Previous experience includes time at Microsoft, Siebel Systems and PeopleSoft.

“Joining Pexip is an incredible opportunity for me,” said Kim. “The company already has a proven track record with Fortune 500 and large enterprise customers, and its technology is second to none. I strongly believe I can contribute to making Pexip hugely successful in the Americas and on a global scale. I am proud to be able to head its Americas business.”

Digital Projection

Matt Horwood has been appointed strategic business development manager at Digital Projection. He will be tasked with taking a global strategic overview of all markets and help shape the future of Digital Projection’s sales, service and development offerings; as well as defining an entry strategy to new vertical markets. Previous experience includes time at projectiondesign, Barco and Epson.

Imago Scansource

James Vickerage is now vice president for the UK and Ireland, replacing Ian Vickerage. He has been with Imago since 1997 and held senior sales and marketing roles before becoming head of Northern EMEA in 2010.

Peerless-AV

Tom Fenton has been named business development manager, EMEA. Working alongside the UK and export sales teams, he will be responsible for growing new business opportunities across all regions. Fenton joins Peerless-AV from a major Global LFD brands where he held various business development and product management positions within the LFD division; most recently focusing on interactive and professional display products.

Riedel

Ryhaan Williams, Graham Taylor have joined the sales team at Riedel. Williams (pictured, left) is now VP of sales for Eastern US while Taylor is strengthening the UK sales team as UK broadcast sales manager. He joins from Wohler Technologies, where he managed sales and marketing for EMEA.

Dmitry Odintsov has taken up the newly created position of chief business development officer. His primary tasks include the identification of market niches, the expansion of TrueConf’s global partnership network, and the promotion of the company’s solutions in the Middle East, Latin America and Asia-Pacific region.

New partners

Powersoft has announced Prodance as its new distributor in the Czech Republic. The manufacturer has also appointed Merging Select to handle its portfolio in Portugal and the Portuguese speaking territories.
