test 26 January 2009

A key part of the Harris Digital Signage solutions offer, InfoCaster (pictured) provides a complete suite of products for creating, scheduling, distributing, playing, and reporting video and graphics. Users can acquire or create digital content and manage it through the entire delivery chain on a TCP/IP network. The Grand Casino Luzern’s system was provided by local dealer Soland Media.

“Our main goal for a digital signage solution in our casino was to offer guests a wide variety of video, news, advertising and event information in broadcast-quality high definition, thereby enriching the casino experience of visitors,” commented Wolfgang Bliem, CEO of the Grand Casino Luzern. “The InfoCaster system met all of our key objectives, including working in synchronisation with the casino odometer to display the values of five jackpots simultaneously.”

Ian Collis, Harris Corporation’s director of marketing, EMEA, told II: “Customers in industries such as the casino industry are adopting a revenue-generating advertising model and are looking for technology that can support the growth of their business and deliver results. They require broadcast-quality images in a cost-efficient format, which Harris can deliver. Harris offers solutions that adapt to the customer’s environment such as the InfoCaster installation at Grand Casino Luzern.”
