GDS makes two new appointments

The lighting and control specialist has announced the arrival of Paul Johnson (pictured) as architectural lighting consultant and Ashley Freeman as UK sales account co-ordinator.

Johnson studied Architectural Technologies at Cardiff University as a mature student, graduating with a BSC with honours. After leaving university he worked for an architectural practice, specialising in lighting design. Paul’s role will be to develop the GDS architectural brand and take it to residential and commercial markets. He will be responsible for consulting with architects and offering a unique design service.

Freeman, meanwhile, studied Sound, Light and Live Event Technology at Darby University. He will support the UK sales team and provide customer service to GDS’s customer network.

Matt Lloyd, managing director of GDS, commented: “We are delighted to announce the appointment of two new team members. Paul’s knowledge of the architectural market is a great asset to us as we progress into this specialist sector. Ashley has come on-board to support the sales team and customer base and is already making an impact. We are very excited about the latest phase of expansion and are looking forward to the some positive input from both our new team members.”
