Former Avid, Roku president joins Audinate board

David Krall – formerly president and CEO of Avid Technology and, most recently, president and COO of Roku – has joined the board of directors at media networking solution developer Audinate.

Krall is also a member of the board of directors of Progress Software and is a board member and executive chairman of QSecure, Inc. In addition, Krall currently serves as a strategic advisor for Roku, a leading manufacturer of streaming media players.

Prior operational experience includes serving as president and COO of Roku (2010), president and CEO of QSecure (2008-2010), and president and CEO of Avid Technology (2000-2007). Prior to Avid, Krall served as v-p of engineering and as COO of Digidesign.

“I am extremely impressed how, in such a short time, Audinate has become the darling of the pro-AV industry for its digital media networking technology,” said David Krall. “From what I can see, Audinate has the only well-conceived transition strategy to provide a complete IP networking solution today plus a migration path as standards like AVB evolve. I look forward to partnering with Audinate’s talented management team to help contribute to the success of this innovative company.”

Lee Ellison, CEO of Audinate, added: “We are incredibly fortunate to have someone of David’s track record and knowledge in both the AV industry and consumer video markets, join our board of directors. David’s depth of experience in helping build companies known for innovation and growth is the ideal complement to our already talented group and board of directors.”
