RTS case study

eyevis UK videowall controllers and processors have been selected by AV integrator RTS for a project for a major public sector client’s building in central London.

The existing client engaged RTS to assist with the design and installation of the new videowall as part of project to modernise a control room.

The new solution distributes multiple HD CCTV images, IPTV and local video using a dedicated eyevis Netpix videowall processor. The processor allows for a high level of customisation of video display arrangements when using the custom API in conjunction with an AMX control processor. Video  is distributed to a 3×2 ultra-narrow bezel display array, using Extron HDBaseT extenders.

The finished result was described as “a real show stopper”; system operation was found to be intuitive, thanks to the integration of a user-friendly AMX touch panel design, minimising the need for client training.

The eyevis Netpix range, which combines individual outputs into a coherent large video wall display, is said to be unique in the market because it caters for the complete range of inputs required within control room environments; it is compatible with the latest industry standards.

eyevis UK managing director Steve Murphy said: “eyevis’ graphics controllers from the Netpix Series are especially designed for the sophisticated control of videowall systems in control rooms. The controllers are customised devices according to the requirements of the system in hand. The customer may choose from a range of input cards providing connectivity for almost any signal type, and Netpix controllers guarantee cutting-edge performance and reliability for 24/7 operation.”
