Exhibitors ready for PALME Middle East 2012

PALME Middle East will celebrate its 10th anniversary when 2012’s event commences tomorrow at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre, UAE. The three-day show is set to feature an array of new products from exhibiting manufactures and distributors, as well as a new networking event which will begin at the close of day one. On the show floor, Extron will be showcasing its new XTP CrossPoint Systems and SME 100 live H.264 encoder for streaming audio, video and computer-video signals. The matrix switcher supports local connectivity as well as extended transmission capability for sending high-resolution video, audio, RS-232, Ethernet, and power up to 330ft (100m) over a single Cat5-type cable.  Elsewhere, display manufacturer Prysm will present its scalable and eco-friendly TD1 tile videowall, which uses the company’s Laser Phosphor Display (LPD) platform. Visitors will have the chance to view the 6 x 4 videowall, alongside one of the company’s digital mannequin displays. The team will also be demonstrating multi-channel content to enable integrators to view its performance in multiple applications. Steve Scorse, vice president of Prysm EMEA, says: “PALME is an excellent platform for us to showcase the TD1 tile to the Middle East market, and it is a region where we are already actively engaging in some high-profile projects. We see the UAE as a core market for Prysm technology, and we’re looking forward to meeting up with more integrators and partners and showcasing the technology again this year.” In addition, Meyer Sound will be introducing its self-powered 1100-LFC loudspeaker to the Middle East for the first time, while Lake’s LM standalone digital processor will also be making a first appearance in the area.  www.palme-middleeast.com
