UK broadcast sector event BVE is expanding its 2016 trade show into the pro AV and live entertainment Technology sectors, through the launch of London Entertainment Week.

UK broadcast sector event BVE is expanding its 2016 trade show into the pro AV and live entertainment Technology sectors, through the launch of London Entertainment Week. Takes place from Monday 22 to Friday 26 February, London Entertainment Week features a week’s worth of co-located events and awards ceremonies aimed at celebrating the wider UK media and entertainment industry. At its heart will be BVE, taking place in London’s ExCel from Tuesday 23 to Thursday 25 February 2016.

Following the merging of technologies between live events and broadcast sectors alongside organic expansion into the market over the past few years, BVE now offers industry support for new developments in pro AV and live entertainment technology. NewBay Media will produce the BVE Daily, which will be distributed to visitors each morning of the show.

London Entertainment Week will feature additional co-located activity from partners including NAB, TPi, Streaming Media, Raindance, VFX Festival and the IABM, including:

• The AV User Group will host the first ever AV Users Forum members meeting at the event;

• London Entertainment Week will host and sponsor the annual TPi Awards launch event on Monday 22nd February at Battersea Evolution;

• Three days of dedicated seminar content for the AV sector, including theatre-specific content assisted by ABTT;

• The Streaming Forum 2016 Conference.

London Entertainment Week will also include an 850sqm Pro AV and Live Entertainment Technology Zone on the showfloor, covering all aspects of event production; kit for theatre and performing arts, concerts and touring, festivals, outdoor events, corporate events, conferences, houses of worship, educational establishments, leisure facilities and corporate installations.

Acting as a natural bridge to the live event sector, an Outside Broadcast Zone will also bring a significant offering to the show. London & Partners will also be promoting London Entertainment Week through involvement with the Mayor’s office.

“We’re really excited to be working alongside top industry organisations to expand the BVE trade show into the pro AV and live entertainment technology sector,” said Daniel Sacchelli, Event Manager. “The development of the co-located events and activity throughout London Entertainment Week supported by new exhibitors and partners will position the show as an event for the entire creative and entertainment industry.”
