Electro-Voice system for Berkshire conference venue

Set in rural Berkshire countryside, De Vere’s Wokefield Park Hotel, Golf Club and Conference Centre features an all-Electro-Voice sound system in its new Executive Centre.

The multi-purpose Executive Centre can accommodate conferences, parties and gala dinners in 550-seated-capacity formation, but can also be deployed with room dividers.

AV contractor Show State and its supplier, Concept Audio, have equipped the Executive Suite with eight EV ZX1-i/90 full-range loudspeaker cabinets in white, wall-mounted at intervals down either side of the large space. Supplemented by two EVID 12.1 subs, the system is powered by EV CPS amplifiers, running the IRIS-Net platform for system management.

Show State has installed bespoke input plates around the room, allowing the technicians’ position to be set up in any one of several locations. A specially-devised selector switch in the amp room allows the EV system to be switched into a two-room configuration. Using a sliding partition, the space can be split into two discrete meeting rooms, accommodating 300 and 100 people respectively. All processing for the different configurations is handled by two EV DC One signal processors.
