Possessing more than 20 years of sales experience, Oliver joins 3M from conveyor and power transmission belt manufacturer Hasabit, where he worked in the capacity of sales manager for Spain and Portugal with responsibility for customer service, field sales and the sales engineering team. Prior to that, he worked as a sales manager for US modular plastic belt company Intralox.

In his new role, Fernando’s key objective will be to strengthen 3M’s involvement in the first stage of project integration for the “enhanced benefit” of end-user customers. “I am very optimistic about the position and the future of 3M Touch Systems in Spain and Portugal,” he told II. “We have a great team, a fantastic product range and an internal culture in 3M ready to support customers.”

Francesco Fasoglio, European business manager at 3M’s Touch Systems division, added: “The Spanish and Portuguese markets have huge potential, and adoption of touch-screen technology is increasing in a wide range of new applications. Fernando brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the European sales team and will play a valuable role in maintaining 3M’s market leadership through the introduction of new touch technologies, and close co-operation with OEMs, integrators, engineering consultancies and distributors to deliver high-value solutions to local customers.”
