dnp partner, FMJ has completed an upgrade of the auditorium at HTX Skjern high school in Western Jutland, Denmark specifying a dnp Supernova XL for the school’s lectures and presentations.

The previous solution used two screens, positioned at an angle that made them very difficult to see from certain seats due to the amount of natural light the venue lets in.

The project was initiated by HTX Skjern’s janitor, Henrik Jensen, who contacted AV specialists FMJ and asked them to come up with a quality solution within the school’s tight budget.

FMJ chose to exchange the existing two-screen solution with one extra-large single screen, that would produce a wider viewing angle. The dnp Superonova XL selected measures 320 x 200cm and provides better picture quality, contrast and colour reproduction. The screen is run in conjunction with an Epson EB-1945W 4,200 ANSI lumen projector.

Peter Møller Johansen of FMJ stated: “We needed a high-contrast display with a very large viewing angle that could be delivered on target without breaking the budget. With its excellent price-performance, the dnp Supernova XL was exactly what we needed.”

Henrik Jensen added: “The more they use the displays, the more our teachers are impressed with the solution. With each use, they gain a better understanding of how good the picture quality actually is, no matter how much daylight there is in the auditorium.”
