Dataton tours Asia with Fonterra22 November 2010
Swedish company Dataton has been selected by New Zealand dairy giant Fonterra to provide its WATCHOUT presentation and control software for an Asia-wide series of nine events aimed at motivation and communicating Fonterra’s vision, strategies and values to all its employees and partners. Charged with the task of managing the shows, Singapore-based DigiMagic conceptualised, produced and executed the eleven week production in nine different cities.
“We selected Dataton WATCHOUT for show control and interactive presentations in a number of projected areas for the Fonterra plenary sessions,” said Donald Lim at DigiMagic. “This included edge blending and scheduling panoramic video content for an 18 by 4 meter panoramic screen display situated above the stage and a neighbouring 3 by 6 meter on-stage holographic screen. Eight 2.5 meter internally projected inflatable spheres were also used to display animated presentation material and were positioned at the edge of the main stage. Other ambient lighting and background effects for the event were also managed and controlled using WATCHOUT to create a dramatic presentation.”
“Localising the content for 12 complex videos in different video formats in eight languages over a 8 week period was a challenge,” he continued. “We were doing a show a week which also incorporated travel time, load-in and load out and rehearsal – it was a miracle. Without WATCHOUT we could not have managed the complicated presentation at the sophisticated level in which it was used. Our client just loved the results. The impact and audience response were tremendous.”
