Custom-designed home theatre seating

Installation Staff 10 February 2015

A home theatre is often special and unique for each customer, so finding the right seating is imperative. One company specialising in custom-designed chairs is exhibitor Fortress.

The company cites as an example a homeowner who asked it to build a theatre chair that would blend in with the other furniture in his home. He wanted to incorporate specific arm and back design with side panels incorporating antique nail heads.

The result evolved into the El Dorado, which Fortress describes as a beautiful viewing chair that’s right at home in a dedicated home theatre, media or
family room.

Concealed accessories in the El Dorado include the retractable touchscreen mount for launch port, USB port inside the storage compartment, goose neck light, powered lumbar support, massage with warming pad, lighted cup holder and soft touch switches.

Also on show at ISE 2015 is the Madison, which Fortress says is a long-time popular executive model that has been redesigned as a home theatre viewing chair. One of the qualities that makes the Madison such a popular choice is its lumbar support, the company says, as well as its comfort.

Accessories that are concealed until the user needs them include the motorised head rest; motorised lumbar support; massage/warming and storage compartment.
